A family estate rooted in Corgoloin since 1899, crafting expressive Burgundy wines with long-standing know-how.

The story

Founded in 1899, Domaine Désertaux-Ferrand has remained in the same family for five generations. The estate grew significantly in the 1960s and 1990s, and today spans about 20 hectares across a central stretch of Burgundy where the Côte de Nuits meets the Côte de Beaune. The next generation is preparing to continue the legacy, ensuring that the domaine’s heritage endures.

In the vineyard

Most vines average over 30 years old, with parcels stretching from Meursault in the south to Nuits-Saint-Georges in the north. This central position gives the domaine access to a wide range of Burgundy’s classic expressions. Sustainable practices and careful work in each parcel guide the estate’s philosophy: great wine begins in the vineyard.

Grape varieties

The domaine cultivates Burgundy’s emblematic grapes:

  • Aligoté: producing lively, fruit-driven whites.
  • Chardonnay: used for Meursault Premier Cru Les Bouchères, Ladoix Blanc, Bourgogne Blanc, and Côte de Nuits-Villages Blanc.
  • Pinot Blanc: a distinctive feature of the estate, forming a major part of their Bourgogne Blanc and Côte de Nuits-Villages Blanc.
  • Pinot Noir: the sole red grape, shaping wines from accessible village cuvées to more structured bottlings.

In the cellar

Winemaking follows a natural, gentle approach. Reds mature for around 12 months in oak barrels, and whites for roughly eight months, before bottling at the estate. The aim is clarity, freshness, and honest expression of each site.
