Saint-Véran Les Prés Batârds 2022 is a powerful and precise Chardonnay from 50-year-old vines planted on the steep slopes of the Arlois valley in Chasselas. Growing on a geological fault between limestone and sandstone, the vines produce a wine of striking purity, depth, and mineral drive. The palate is dense and layered with citrus, exotic fruit, ripe yellow stone fruit, and subtle toasted notes, carried by impressive length and a refined bitter twist on the finish. A complex and expressive Saint-Véran of notable intensity.
